About Islam

The Quran – believed by Muslims to be the final, preserved and unchanged scripture for all mankind.

“Say, [O believers], “We have believed in Allah and what has been revealed to us and what has been revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Descendants and what was given to Moses and Jesus and what was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him.”

[Quran 2:136]

Islam is a major world religion founded over 1400 years ago with the revelation of what Muslims believe to be the final scripture sent by God to the last messenger, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Peace be upon him), yet Muslims uphold that the message itself is as old as time. It is a guidance for success in this life and the Hereafter, calling individuals to seek God’s love and mercy, eternal paradise and salvation from hellfire through faith, good actions and repentance.

By reflecting on nature, scripture and the life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, a Muslim accepts the Quran as true revelation from God and takes inspiration from it’s parables, vast linguistic beauty and existential questioning. Free will, in turn, is exercised in seeking God’s eternal pleasure through peaceful surrender and bearing patience in the face of adversity.
